For days all my time in Iceland was spent under a curtain of rain. Day and night. Rain. But that never stopped me from enjoying the beauty of Reykjavik. I layered up, hit the streets fully prepared for the elements, and set out to visit Hallgrimskirkja church. The tallest landmark in the city that I had seen on the horizon since I arrived. Heading up to the top in an elevator I started to peel back a few layers and when the doors opened at the top, light suddenly blinded me. The clouds had started to dissipate and the sun blasted beams of light through them. No more rain, just the warm sun and the beautiful colors of the city. And then it started raining again five minutes later...
